General coloration of mesonotum obscure yellow, praescutum with faint indications of darker stripes; posterior sclerites of notum darkened, pleura and pleurotergite yellow; rostrum dark, a little longer than remainder of head; halteres yellow, knobs infuscated; legs obscure yellow, tips of femora and tibiae narrowly dark brown; wings grayish subhyaline, prearcular and costal portions a little more yellowish; a restricted brown pattern, including seams at origin of Rs and along cord; m-cu shortly beyond fork of M; abdominal tergites dark brown, lateral margins yellow; basal sternites more uniformly yellow; male hypopygium with basistyles slender, on mesal face near base ,with a stout setiferous lobe; outer dististyle an unusually slender blackened rod, apex simple and obtuse.
